About the Project

This 1,100 m² residence combines large-scale volumes - including high ceilings and double-height voids - with a highly resolved architectural finish.

The project focused on delivering high-performance heating and cooling while ensuring the system remained fully integrated within the building, preserving the architectural intent with minimal visible impact.

Approach

AirSmart adopted a systems-led approach, embedding air delivery directly into the building fabric.

The focus was to resolve air distribution, comfort and access as part of the architecture - not applied to it.

Integrated air delivery within architectural details such as shadow lines and joinery
Designed airflow paths to maintain conditions without reliance on visible outlets
Removed the need for bulkheads and ceiling modifications within key areas
Consolidated plant and access into a dedicated service zone

Solution

A customised AirSmart Indoor Environment System was implemented to deliver integrated environmental control throughout the home.

Air delivery through shadow line details above joinery and at room edges
Bathroom air delivery integrated with exhaust ventilation points
Bedrooms conditioned via adjoining spaces such as walk-in robes
No visible grilles throughout the residence
No bulkheads, drop ceilings or access panels within primary conditioned areas
Plant and system access via a dedicated walk-in plant room and roof access

The system is embedded within the built form - delivering performance with minimal visible mechanical infrastructure.
